A Christian’s response to the ‘celebration’ of Halloween – Why I won’t be partaking.

I love how this blogger provides a simplified and yet a concise explanation of why it’s not ok to participate in Halloween.

I believe that we can totally minister to and show love to others (as mandated in the Word to “love thy neighbour”) on this night-just as any other night-not dressed up. The word love here is a verb not the noun. To participate in anything unrighteous is nothing but conforming or patterning yourself to the world when God has specifically told not to conform to the world. Romans 12:2 says ‘not to copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but to let God transform us into new people by changing the way you think. Then we will learn to know God’s will for us, which is good and pleasing and perfect.’ (Emphasis mine)

NOTE: This is a multi-part post. You can read the second part here The Danger of Christians Participating in Halloween. Thank you for reading. We all know where Halloween comes from, what it is all…
